International Antarctic Centre

International Antarctic Centre

The Antarctic Centre has twice been judged New Zealand's best attraction and features a snow and ice experience, an all-terrain Haggland ride, and over 30 little blue penguins in a state-of-the-art facility. Also on site is Priestley's Antarctic Café which has a range of tasty menu options to fuel your explorations and is open daily from 8am til 5pm. Situated 24 minutes drive from the camp.

Pegasus Walkway

Pegasus Walkway

The Pegasus Walkway takes you the length of the Tuhaitara Park (10.5km) from Pines/Kairaki Beach through to Waikuku Beach. This track is a shared trail for walkers, mountain bikers and horses. The Pegasus Walkway goes straight past our camp, most people like to do the shorter walk from here to Pegasus and back. Lovely place to stop for a coffee or refreshment, very beautiful scenery around the lake.
